Yep. Dont use Opera. They are known for being an incredibly scummy company that has done illegal things. Im 98% sure opera gx is spyware

Everyone praises them? The only times Ive heard (from westerners visiting/moving there) is that it is very annoying that there is never anywhere to throw away their trash
My memory says that both vent and teamspeak were way better for audio, but this was also a time where no one had a mic remotely close to the average you get today. Video, yes. But skype was really buggy and often did not even work
Cant read the article due to paywall, but, nothing "went wrong" with skype, it was and has always been utter trash. Just having your username leaked was a security breach. Skype's only merit was it was the first easy to use video calling platform that combined text, audio and streaming in one.
Theres a reason why it was so easy to move my friends group off skype to discord right when discord launched, but I havent been able to convince that same group to move from discord.
I would rather be unemployed than in a job I enjoy. So it really just comes down to can you afford to be out of work for that length of time?
If 5% of all US workers striked, it would be the largest strike in US history by magnitudes. This says there are 170m workers in the US, which would put 5% at 8.5m. The largest single strike seems to be the 1946 steel strike which consisted of 800,000. 5% of everyone striking would not be third page news, and it would do damage to the oligarchs. I would absolutely consider 5% to be generalpopulace buy-in. Youre right half the country would actively oppose it, though.
Im honestly confused. Youre mad that the post youre making in a public space so that anyone can see it, is seen by anyone? Youre mad that people want rules in these spaces, so it can be a friendly place instead of devolving into a cesspit? If you want to talk privately, yes of course this isnt the space to do so.
