Hey OP, I love you! I never used a Lemmy WebApp because I see no sense in it, but I tried Photon because of some comments in your post and holy fuck I have missed so much! It's incredible that I can even have two accounts at the same time from different instances without changing the URL!

Care to share Eclipse's url? I can't find it with a quick Google search or in Droid-ify.
Does ChatGPT can really report you in case you say something like this? Is it just a threat or can it really become more?
Thank you so much! I used it some weeks ago and I swear that when I tried to select any precipitation provider it only shown me one that didn't have support for my country but now it seems fixed because it show me more providers.
It had happened to me before, it depends from book to book, try another source.
Didn't even know that Zerotier exists, I have to check it out, thanks!
Maybe what I will say is not exactly what you are looking for but it can help, try using RethinkDNS, it is an open source app that works as a firewall and can completely remove ads from many apps without doing anything special, you simply need to turn on the app and that's it.
I would also recommend "Auto mute", it is another open source app that cannot filter sound by app, but can filter by type of sound, for example, you can disable the audio of specifically game-type apps. For example, I have Auto Mute configured so that it automatically silences all multimedia sound, so, if I watch a YouTube video it starts silently and when I increase the volume I can clearly hear it, but if I close the app and open another video, now the app would be silenced again until I manually turned up the multimedia sound again.
I don't have special knowledge in this area, but I'm sure that on torrent sites (available on the Megathread) you could find courses, documentation or books on the subject.
Great, thanks.
To be honest I don't know and I didn't care at the time I used it either because I knew nothing about software or computer security and just listened to what some random youtuber said, but you're probably right.
I would give you an award if I could, so take a emoji: 🏆️
I've heard a lot about Proxmox and I always thought it was some kind of VPS, so I can selfhost it for myself?
And another problem that I had with my previous selfhosting attempts is that I didn't really know how to solve my problems, I could run the script and set up my domain, but when it comes to solving some problem I really couldn't because or there was little specific documentation of my specific problem.
For example, I remember having selfhosted Nextcloud and when I wanted to enable ffmpeg so that my videos had a miniature I found instructions on how to do it but with different selfhosting methods.
