Yeah, that's fair. Especially in somewhere like California.

But yes, it's absolutely wild. Just yesterday, in a very blue state, there was an army of Trumpers blocking like 3 intersections in their lifted trucks with Trump flags. They were screaming at everyone stuck watching the charade. It's gotten, like you said, psychotic.

You're right. Tactical is the more common name. I see them listed both ways. But yeah, you can get those cheap as hell. While not beginner friendly, they'll do the job if the biggest concern is cost.

And that's true, but I think it's important to note that Trump is a symptom, not the disease itself. The disease is his base, and the corruption of their belief in democracy. I hope I'm wrong, but I feel like we'll see this level of politics for a while more.

But good on you for doing the footwork! And thanks for linking those instances!

I think the best advice has been given by others.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Feel free to DM me if you need to vent, or if I can do anything to help.

It's terrifying. If you're in a position to, and don't already have one, I'm encouraging everyone on the left to get a decent gun. Cheapest option is an assault 12 gauge. These people are full on, insane fascists. Their "day of retribution" will be a lot harder to impossible if we're armed.

I'm not sure if it's still valid, but there was that whole debacle where he fired every secret service agent except for ones that backed him politically.

Just look at the front "bumper". It's triangular, and made of metal. If it hits a pedestrian, unlike other cars that try to bump and deflect the pedestrian up onto the hood, the Cybertruck will cut the pedestrian in half with that angle. Also, because it's metal, there is NO give. That could even be dangerous to other cars, let alone pedestrians and cyclists.

That's just one aspect, though. You got 3 others from another commenter, making the Cybertruck tonight's biggest loser.

Well, of course. A president attempting to overthrow the government is a huge deal, you fetid fucking moron.

Completely. Lemmy is far too small to have the value Reddit does.

I left Reddit due to their API bullshit, but I so miss all of the hobby communities I was part of, that has like-minded members, and a plethora of resources. It's not easy to impossible to start communities such as reeftanks, homesteading, literature, bookcirclejerk, etc. on a platform as small as Lemmy. And beyond starting one, the quality and quantity will never match Reddit's because Lemmy just doesn't have the same reach.

Lemmy is great if you like Linux, like Star Trek, or are trans, but other than that, it's missing so, so many demographics that make a wholistic platform.

Better off buying from Temu at that failure rate.
