Google is still the best in my experience, at least for stuff I search for. As long as they’re just slightly better what reason do they have to improve?

None of the products that had the price increased are locked in. Apple TV plus doesn’t even need an Apple device and has many competitors, Apple News has plenty of competitors, there are games you can buy without Apple Arcade though most do stupid in app purchases.

The next generation of CarPlay is going to be able to control the AC and integrate with the car enough to take over all the panels. I haven’t seen Siri mentioned but I’m guessing Siri would be able to control it too.

I don’t really follow android so I don’t know if they have similar in the works.

There aren’t “5g bands”. The reason they shut down 2g/3g is to reuse the spectrum for 5g.

Uber changed things a lot. Uber lets you easily request the ride and track the driver instead of calling for a cab then calling back 45 minutes later to find out where they are and find out they never sent anyone.

The company I order my diabetes supplies from uses okta. Judging by how crappy their website is (once my order didn’t go through but I didn’t know because it sent me the order confirmation email) I expect if anyone got in their accounts they wouldn’t notice.

If you have carpet you can get a flat Ethernet cable and tuck it around the border. That’s how I have mine set up because my ONT is in the closet.

That’s not the same as their claim that Microsoft software was pre installed and has access to your system which is what I’m arguing was incorrect.

Finally, performing apt policy code confirms that Visual Studio Code was not actually installed on my system—it's just easier to install (and update!) now, since its parent repository is part of my sources list, along with the GPG code verifying the contents of that repository.

It didn’t come pre installed with the tool. It only had the repo. Did you even read your own link?

Explain how adding a Microsoft repo that doesn’t actually install anything is the same as giving Microsoft access to your device?

Thanks, that makes more sense. According to an article on ars it doesn’t actually install anything so I don’t see their problem. All they have to do is comment out the line or just use a different distribution.

Yeah I’d like a source too because what they said makes no sense. The immature way they responded to criticism of someone they hired is a good reason to be turned off of the pi, no need to actually make up something ridiculous.
