Irony can be used in many situations. I want a German word that specifically refers to this situation. Something like Erfinderhybris; I just slammed Inventor and Hubris together.

It's better than D.A.R.E. which is what a lot of us got.

I, for one, welcome our new overlords.

For certain, and in the grand scheme of things 50 years is nothing. For most of humanity generation upon generation would pass without any significant advance.

The last 100 years really hints at the speed of the singularity curve as things are getting better at an insane rate. But there are costs to those advances that if left unchecked can truly threaten the future of our species.

Definitely the latter. If I can recommend a book please read it despite it's title: "Everything is Fucked" by Mark Manson.

The title is supposed to be a joke as when things get better we still will find even the smallest of problems, everything isn't fucked it's our perception. This is human nature. There's other really interesting observations in the book that I really enjoyed, but that's the main theme.

Are the images clearly labeled, or are they trying to pass them off as reality? There's a clear difference.

Would you prefer them be weeping? No really I wonder which people like getting bad news from more, happy or sad people.

Just because they patented it doesn't mean it will happen. Sony patented this evil idea.

I'd argue it was a good place for FAST news. For a lot of major events you can find posts and videos from users before the media releases anything, which is kind of a first for humanity at least in terms of accessibility.

Now, if you're looking for ACCURATE news...

Great verbal joke. Doesn't read as well as it sounds.
