I've been thinking about subscribing to a news site. Similar to email, I would rather pay than see the propaganda. 404 was one I was considering. I have several Ghost publications I'm watching to figure out which one I want.

The Ublock codes will be useful, though. Thanks for sharing!

I use FOSS browser and have antifingerprinting enabled. I get this constantly. I think it also might have something to do with blocking the tracking parts of the url directs.

I see what you did there. ;)

No, I need to kick balls because I need to buy multiple sets of tools instead of one, and if you're integrating systems, and another engineer didn't read the unit requirements, shit doesn't work and we have to stop and troubleshoot. Check the other conversions. If I asked you how many feet in a mile or slugs in gravity, can you tell me off the top of your head? Nobody wants to stop and look up crap to get stuff done. What is 12C in F? Who the fuck knows. Do I need a sweater on my trip? Let me go back and find my phone to see. Oh shit it's not charged. Let me open my laptop because some fuckass with balls intact decided to troll everyone with arbitrary bullshit.

Oh. I didn't know that. Most folks there are not active duty. Thanks for explaining. That guy must have been a new recruit to get out.

That's why I never contribute much at work past the bare minimum. Someone else takes credit every time. I just watch them fail instead.

It's already happened.

I'm an engineer in the US, and I can tell you that the Imperial unit system is a major pain in the ass. It's makes no sense at all. 1 meter=100cm=1000mm vs. 1yard=3 feet=36inches. I'll not even get into slugs for gravity, miles, and pounds. Whoever invented the English unit system needs to be kicked in the balls. It's probably one of the worst mathematical blunders of humanity.

Also, why does nobody here know that their mindless nationalism is weird? I've seen military guys stop traffic to stop their cars in the middle of the road and stand with their hand over their heart towards the nearest flag when they play the trumpets at the end of the work day. ( on a military base) But seriously, why would you stop rush hour traffic to virtue signal your worship of an inanimate object. Those people should not be allowed to use firearms. There is seriously something wrong with that. My coworkers did the same thing, but not while they were driving. It's beyond bizarre.

It makes you wonder if peaceful societies can ever exist without threat. It's almost like the most greedy and psychopathic people always endure. That's why the liberals in the US and Europe will not win against the violent right wingers. The indigenous folks in the US have a word for the white greed sickness. I think they call it watika.

The world wars didn't even really happen there. There has not even been a war there in the last 100 years or something.

I'll look i to DietPi and check out the CLI tools. Thanks!

I was planning to set transcoding on the M.2 by using a Pi M.2 Hat board. However, since the M.2 is already there, should I just use it to run the OS and downloads, too, or just use it as a transcoding consumable and media drive? This Pi 5 has 16Gb of RAM, so it might handle every bit of the transcoding regardless, but I have not tested it. I'm also concerned about latency between the main Pi board and the hat, connected with a flexible circuit board cable.

Also, anyone have issues with media storage on external drive when using Plex/media servers?

Equipment has been ordered but has not been delivered yet. Should come the next few days.
