8-10-12 hours is just unhealthy, so not bad that you can't do that anymore.
I'm 43 and have been gaming since I was 7 years old. These days I play for about 1,5 hours three to four tiles a week. That still is a lot. The less time I spend gaming the more fun I have when I game. It's really about fun.

If you practice a bit cooking a home made meal can be done in less than 30 minutes. If times a issue I have some 20 minute recipes.

I bought a Rockwell safety razor for 50 euros after using a cheap 20 euro version for a while. The Rockwell is much better. Heavier, better grip and a reversible base plate for different settings. 50 euros should do and still is much cheaper than my cartridges.
PS: wit good prep I have no rasor burn. A cheap brush, warm water and cheap shaving soap. The soap lasts me nearly half a year.
