You are just asking for issues not turning off your PC. All the software on your machine is buggy. ALL OF IT. Plus updates require a reboot and we have SSDs so your boot takes like 10 seconds.
Keeping your PC in sleep mode is dumb.

I'm with you. I want to read stuff not have my time wasted by some 20 min video that could have been a 30 sec video.

I'm glad I put mine on Mint years ago. His Mint 21 install is still supported until 2027 and I only have to help him like twice a year with smth
You think Linux is any better? I have to upgrade my Mint install every two years! And I have to wait for them to get their update tool ready. And then it takes like 15 minutes or so to complete! My time does not grow on trees!

Well I had the same thought a few years ago when APUs started getting better. But then I'm not the CEO of a huge tech company, so nobody lost their job because I was wrong.
