But they are also using the local AI to spy on you.

Meta said it does not, but what about 3rd parties…

It was a thrift store auction website, when they first started there was almost no one bidding, so I won TONS of awesome things for cheap. Eventually more and more people joined and the auctions are not as easy to find deals.

I gave them laptops, Linux mint pre-installed. I used to buy auction lots of broken laptops, so I got them for like $10 each. Threw in an SSD. It works as fast as a new machine for browsing the web and watching YouTube. I also pre-installed some common programs to get them started.

Is called “Windows” because they are always looking in at you. I have been on Linux since they announced recall, and their fucking one drive kept secretly uploading my desktop files! (Kept seeing sync icons, even with all that disabled). Since then I now have my wife, uncle, dad, friends, etc all running Linux now.

Money is easier to spend than to make.

I’m going to be moving to raw land to homestead. I downloaded a ton of channels about land, survival, building, solar, compost, gardening, etc. not sure I will have internet or even a cell connection so I find these videos very important.

A few stream decks, cam link pro, 4k60 pro and maybe a few other items. I know the stream deck has 3rd party programs but they require typing in commands and stuff to setup.

I agree. I switched to Linux full time a few months ago and there are several things just easier than windows.

Installing the OS was super simple, I didn’t have to turn off 10 settings that it wanted to sell my info, no keys to type in, no registration or spying, no candy crush and 20 other unwanted programs. I have to customize windows so much to my liking and then an update takes it away.

I just wish Elgato products had Linux support. I have emailed them a few times to suggest it. Maybe when 10% Linux share or 15%… I’m waiting.

During the past few months I now have myself, my wife, my uncle, and my dad on Linux!!!

Nothing wrong with being organized. And knowing where everything is when you need it. But it’s also a ton of work.

I have been packing for moving, so I have every box labeled and in a spread sheet of all contents (with serial numbers) and the size of the box too. It’s helped many times as I keep needing things I already packed.

For some reason I have been having more issues with my self hosted web dashboards not loading, network file share issues, and other local stuff just not loading.

I did not know you can disable the map, I will need to do that.

I only used the map once to see which photos may have accidentally had GPS Embedded, but turns out it was only the photos that other people took and sent me. lol
