Yeah, I've just got the book "Enemy of All Mankind" which is about the period of time when the East India Co. was just getting going. Apparently that time intersects with three big shifts: the first international pirate manhunts, the start of the British Empire, and the creation of the corporation. It tells a crazy story and I absolutely loved it

I stopped clicking on android authority links after they faked a drop test to make an iPhone look good

That said, what are people using nowadays or what. I tried skiff earlier this year and then it almost immediately announced they were stopping their email service

I can't imagine the stress if I'd had anything important I needed to transfer to another email. I mean, besides losing everything of course

Edit: relevant absolutely ridiculous, watching it again. No shame! I wonder if they ever even addressed it

Why are your bars unequally divided?

It doesn’t make sense for chocolate bars to be divided into equal-sized chunks when there is so much inequality in the chocolate industry! The unequally-sized chunks of our 180g bars are a palatable way of reminding Choco Fans and Serious Friends that the profits in the chocolate industry are unequally divided.

And in case you haven’t noticed, the bottom of our bars depicts the West African coastline. The chunks just above it represent the Gulf of Guinea. From left to right, you have Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo and Benin (terribly politically incorrect, we know, but we had to combine them to create enough space for a hazelnut), Nigeria and part of Cameroon.

That's awesome!

I just read it as supporting third parties. I thought you were going to mention what happens if a third party were to get more votes but not a majority. I actually don't know. Would there still be a runoff between Dem and Rep or would the third party actually win it? I'd assume theres some rule that the third party has to win a majority or some bs

There's a link under the post linking to info on the Sri Lanka election.

All good! It's easy to miss

That seems kinda fucked up. Why would you do something like that?

I mean, I at least get fucking with people for money. Doing it for fun, not so much

Also, anyone know what they meant with this line?

I still loved my life so I didn't want to use the Google custom search API.

Some people simply don't know how to be good friends. You really shouldn't take it personal

I've just had to learn my closest friends simply aren't capable of providing emotional connection like I'd like. I'm working on becoming a better friend to them, meeting them where they are , trying to figure out how to provide for and validate my own emotional needs, so I can eventually work up the courage, or whatever it is I need, to meet friends that are more emotionally mature enough to have the real connections I'm looking for

I once delayed a party where I had tons of family over because my friends hadn't arrived. They didn't get there until like 10 or something, after I'd already told them to just fuck off. The thing is, they are my friends and they legit care about me in their own (weird to me) ways. I've just come to realize they've got legit issues, as I do (part of why we're drawn to being friends), that they're working on to varying degrees, and I simply can't expect more from them than they're capable of giving

Good luck finding a chill healthy tribe of folks that shares similar values to your own!

Do those goalposts have little feet on them?

"Democrats wouldn't do this"

Democrats do this

"No, not like that"

Look, I said it in a dumb meme format so you know it's true

(I appreciate you for posting here, just making fun of you 😊)

You're definitely not wrong that hurting profits is good leverage. It might actually be the best tool we have

I don't remember where I heard it recently, but we really need to bring back the slogan "no taxation without representation"

Millennials barely have representation and gen z has maybe one representative. The US was legit founded by mostly young people. It's nuts to see the contrast to today. It's not even exaggerating to say this nation hates it's younger citizens

Edit: grammars
