The neo-nazi one that attacked the trade union building and Eastern Ukrainians for resisting, yeah

Looking up the 2010 elections should give you an idea of what the division in Ukraine is like

I remember back in 2014 when even Redditors could tell the solution was to have Eastern Ukraine be a separate state so the coup gov wouldn't be killing them for resisting. That's what the people in the DPR and LPR were trying to do and were being bombed by the fascist state for it. At least Crimeans are free from it now ig.

Correct, and I strongly support our Ukrainian comrades in the DPR and LPR in their resistance against the fascist coup government.

It's a shame that people who say they support "Ukraine" usually mean the 2014 fascist coup gov instead of the Ukrainian breakaway regions resisting it.

"Defense" is when you aid the overthrow of a government to replace it with a fascist one that kills eastern Ukrainians like in Donbass, DPR, LPR, and Crimea

Then they wonder why Crimeans overwhelming support Russia against the post-2014 fascist coup gov in Ukraine

I don't think that's necessarily true. Tons of young people are communists. OP being politically illiterate doesn't have to be for their age, though that's likely part of it.

Seems like they're just woefully misinformed, though anticommunism does just mean fascism.

And as people have mentioned here, it can take until you're in your 40s for some to finally escape all the anticommunist propaganda they've been fed their whole lives in capitalist states.

A state that prioritizes capitalist profit over worker interests is worse for the people?? Who could've seen this coming :0

The capitalist takeover of the former USSR is one of the greatest tragedies of the last few decades. Both for those countries, and for the global socialist movement. The modern capitalist Russia has no reason to support and fund socialist movements like they used to (like in Palestine, Vietnam, DPRK, Cuba, Bangladesh etc)

There are Socialists that take offense to being called Communist, because for them, Socialism is the goal itself

Very rare. Those who do dislike being called communists probably aren't very serious about socialism at all, and probably only want the "social capitalism" of Scandanavian countries.
