Indeed. I smacked my head as I fell!

They had this restriction in the UK where the networks would prevent hotspots from actually working. You had to buy a special additional package.

Restriction has now vanished and there are no such limits on usage. Not sure if the Regulator intervened but it was most certainly a cash grab.

These days they still manage to rip us off by annual contract increases of RPI+3.9%. That applies even during a 2 year contract.

Bravo. Took me longer than it should have!

Company laptop which is pretty much hardened so no chance of installing anything that is unapproved. No idea how people survive without an adblock.

I know what you mean.

Browsing the Internet at work is a horrible experience. I'm actually shocked at the ad intrusion that I am usually saved from!

They become quiet quitters. Barely putting any effort in and doing the bare minimum.

Folks are not going to bail out company decisions to cull by working extra harder.

They tidy CV and look for next opportunity.

Some companies seem to thrive on regular culls in the name of operational efficiencies. All that happens is talent leaves the organisation and then those left behind struggle because expertise has gone.

It erodes good will and good will is something you can't win back.

By the time things look like they are normalising, in comes another cull!

Some rental places don't allow you to mess with walls and it would require repainting if you move.

So not always an option.

We were told that Teams was the bees knees and it would massively enhance collaboration and productivity due to its fantastic integration.

Well, let me tell you that my disappointment was immeasurable.

It is so slow, so inflexible, so unpolished. I despise it for anything other than a quick chat.

Yah, good job I have zero interest in Apple products so I can't actually tell the difference when they start to brag about their phones!

Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
