Drinking weizen makes me feel like I've had drink and food at the same time, so rich.

I still see and experience blind down voting and people missing each other's points, but much less than on Reddit. Overall I'm more aligned with the viewpoints shared here, especially because the vibe on the other site has really changed a lot after over 10 years.

I definitely use lemmy a lot less for mindless scrolling, due to the lack of content, which is great to be honest.

I spend more time researching stuff through articles, forums, YouTube, and yes, also the other site still when it's through specific Google searches.

I still see way more US centric content than I'd like but there's definitely a good European presence, and it's also on me because I'm still browsing basically the whole unfiltered feed at this point.

And no one would want to go in it, brilliant.

I always thought that it was dramatically overused to the point of senselessness, but that there were a few legit uses for it.

Hasn't that been done before? Maybe not Faraday cages but jammers or something, I swear I remember something like that.

Oh me too, decriminalise everything! Just saying NL definitely has better/more accessible drugs, also the illegal stuff.

Yeah I can definitely agree some are much worse! I was just referring to the specific one in this picture.

In my old apartment in the Netherlands the shower was literally just going to the floor and the entire bathroom was a "wet room", the drain wasn't even under the shower but in another corner. It was weird but actually I loved it, cleaning the place was so easy, just get naked, scrub with cleaning products and then rinse the entire room down with the showerhead.

I consider Americans like distant cousins. Not as closely related as neighbouring countries but still part of the family.

Might be where it stops legally but availability/quality of all drugs in NL is clearly above the neighbours.
