Does it make a difference? They still need to use Apple accounts and spoof real devices (serial numbers, etc, I'm guessing)

All they need to do is look for which Apple devices are being used as proxies and blacklist them

They're not offering true purchases, they're offering one time payment leases - and they should be forced to market them as such if they're not willing to guarantee perpetual access.

Or IPFS. The issue in this context is that bittorrent would treat each version as a unique collection of files and you can't combine seeding of redundant files. IPFS has much better means to handle updates.
