It's possible, the secret ingredient is keeping an eye on it.

Measure one cup of rice, whatever the volume of the cup is now add double the amount of water and bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling lower the heat.

Here comes the secret ingredient, keep an eye on it. You'll soon notice it's not as watery anymore, but you still see bubbling. Stir and check it's not getting stuck to the bottom. When you see the water is practically gone, remove from the heat and cover pot with lid. Let rest for 5 mins.

Done, perfect rice!

If it's starting to get stuck to the bottom, removing and letting it rest with a lid on for a few minutes usually helps in unsticking it and making it fluffier.

If you didn't keep an eye on it well enough and it's burning at the bottom, remove immediately and transfer as much of the unburnt rice to another pot, cover and let it rest. (Add water to the burnt bottom in the original pot and cover as well, it will help with the cleaning)

I like how working in the film industry has made you shutter instead of shudder

I'm sorry it didn't improve as much.

I can't say I loved coffee the first time I tried it. It took years for it to get better, and eventually it did. An acquired taste for sure... Hopefully the same applies to my spine? Thanks for sharing

Glad to know that worked out for you! Thanks for sharing

Wow, success story - not the most usual type of story! That sounds super painful, I can't even imagine what it's like to sever a piece of disc. Thanks for sharing

Yup, I got a pinched nerve between c7 and c6 it makes my arm feel like I broke a bone. Did you recover fully btw? I got a post asking for people's experiences with this sort of thing if you're inclined to share. Thanks

I think so? Some steroid thing, CT scan assisted.

I guess my spinal injection on Friday. This pain is crippling

Thanks for sharing. It gives me hope seeing you can do what you want to do in spite of the issue.

I'm sorry to hear. That's awful... Thank you for sharing

Turns out I have a disc bulge between two of my cervicals and it's pinching a nerve, which is very very painful and weakening my arm and finger sensitivity.

I'm not here asking for advice, rather to get an idea of what's down the road for me depending on the type of treatment I'll end up following. I am seeing a doctor, I have an appointment tomorrow. I also had a CT scan done.

So basically if you've had something similar anywhere on your spine I'd appreciate to know about it. Did you recover fully? How long did it take? What treatment did you follow? Did you complement it with anything such as specialized exercises, acupuncture, massage or else?

Please go easy on me, I'm not very tech savvy. So I got a new android phone, and everything is ok except the audio. This is using the same headphones I used with my old phone, so I'm not talking about improving the phone's speakers or headphones, but the quality of the sound as it is processed in the phone itself.

There is an equalizer (Dolby Atmos) but after trying every preset and option available I give up. They all sound tinny or kind of muffled. My old phone had just a basic "Moto Audio" and it was great. Both phones are Motorola and I'm disappointed to see this downgrade.

So the question is, can I install something to fix this and if yes, what type of app am I looking for?

Thanks

ALWAYS GETS ME AAAARRRRRRGHHHHHHH I make sure I disconnect them from all devices; I make sure they are well positioned in their cases; that the charging lights are on etc and yet.... they disappoint me like this...

Ahoy! I know this has been asked a lot already, I've been following up and doing some research online but I'm still confused. Sorry.

1-I'm not exactly tech savvy. (Ok. I'm thick as a brick) 2-I'm a very casual BitTorrent user. I'll go months without torrenting.

3-I do stream more frequently.

4-I travel often, meaning I don't often have admin access to the networks I connect to

I currently have Nord. I heard it's no longer as trusted as it used to, and since my subscription is ending I'm wondering if I should jump ship.

I read I should be using Port Forwarding, and I get the concept of it somewhat but I'm still not sure if I need it (considering my casual torrent use, so far... I've been ok?), and also, I have no idea how to set that up. (would #4 be a problem?).

Now, VPN: Mullvad, AirVPN, and Proton seem to be the most reliable ones. Is that right?

Air has good pricing atm, and port forwarding. I heard it's not too user friendly though? (#1)

Mullvad seems to have a solid rep. but no port forwarding (It used to? Their website doesn't say much unless I create an account?)

Proton: has PF, seems good too

Or should I just stick with Nord?

TLDR which VPN should I go for considering 1,2,3,4, and should I consider port forwarding in my decision?

Thanks

I'm a very casual sailor, and not very tech savvy, but I've torrented and used magnet links in the past with no issues.

I found the file I'm looking for. But things have changed. The site I used doesn't provide magnets anymore, only Rapidgator links (split into 5 rar files, this is going to take me days) for direct downloads .

Every other link I found sends me to torrent trackers I need to create an account for, such as RuTracker. Which I tried, and with different emails, (brand new emails) yet every time I get rejected. Why? What am I doing wrong? Do I need to wait a couple of hours after creating the account? Are the sites not accepting registrations anymore?
