I literally can’t. Even when an interaction would have happened outside of hexbear, their users can’t see my messages.

My blocking them was just to prevent me from seeing content I couldn’t interact with.

Forgetting the password is more akin to losing the key. You dont forget where the blockchain is.

If I lose to key to my vault, and require a locksmith to enter… does my vault hold no value until I can enter it? Of course not, the contents is still there.

I get where you’re going, but really it makes no sense. The value (or as close to value as we are willing to put on crypto) was always there. Whether or not someone was able to get into it doesn’t change the fact that it’s there.

Honestly even lamination isn’t great. Won’t survive a fire.

Best options I’ve seen are engraving your seed into metal, and/or putting multiple copies in trusted locations like family houses or safety deposit boxes.

Using “updated” terms intending them as their original meaning is not usually the best plan… Like me saying “that’s an awful haircut” but using awful as the near synonym for awesome.

Then it still makes no sense, as you being unable to take down the content means you also very likely can’t edit the content. I can’t think of a situation where you:

1. Need content to not be scraped
2. Need time to remove/edit that content
3. Have access to do the above
4. Don’t have access to pull the content immediately
5. Have control of a large enough botnet to take down Internet Archive
6. Don’t have a big enough botnet to take down the aforementioned content

Just FYI, you mean day zero patches. Zero days are something else entirely.

That’s a ridiculous amount of effort to go through to slow down a scraper for one site, especially when that site could just be… turned off.
