Since they are under no obligation to help their kids I would say the answer is yes.

Except on my networks all port 53 tcp/udp and port 853 for that matter are forwarded to my dns per firewall rules. I also block all encrypted dns as well as dns over https blocked. Its my dns or nothing. I also have a vpn and proxy blocklist that updates twice a day. PFblockerNG is effective when maintained.

In 2014 when I was in the hospital for a week I got a visit from their IT. Seems like pushing 5 to 10 gig a day through a ssh connection triggered something. Just a gig of ICMP of any variety would trip a alarm.

My last time there I was trying to buy a GPS for someone. I walked up to the counter and saw the GPS I wanted. I couldn't get either of the people behind that counter to sell it too me. They were pushing something else and simply wouldn't sell it to me. I went to best buy and purchased it. A few years later they were done.

I quit even responding to them. After two or three years I'll get sued for a very small amount. It will be some radiologist who looked over a xray who has sold his debt to some bottom feeders. I wait until I'm served then I pay it. Within six months some other bottom feeder will serve me again for the same debt. When I go to court showing it was paid I can generally get my money back from the second bottom feeder. I've done this three times and got paid twice. The third time cost me nothing but time. Its long drawn out and stupid but its the shit sandwich we are forced to eat to live in the Home of the fee.

Jessica Rosenworcel is handing out money right now. I saw her speak in 2023 and she was quite enthusiastic about all the money they were handing out. I looked at the structure of it and its the same as what they were doing during Bush's and Obama's administrations. Its a farce and it will just pad the bottom line of the major telcos without building one more mile of physical plant. Just like all the other times. Until some type of limit on payment is implemented similar to erate which is now under attack nothing will ever happen other than the money will disappear.

And in the late 2000's. And again a few years later. And as of last year they, the FCC is once again throwing money at them without any real oversight. I worked for a ISP in 2010 and we couldn't get any of the money because a bank had first lean on the company USDA demanded that before any money could be approved. AT&T got money for our area and their footprint shrank the next year when they cut off dial-up customers in the area.

There are reports that the vouchers handed out were canceled before anyone could use them.

You mean the type where the lawyers get eight figure payouts and you get a ten dollar check?
