The search in Jerboa is...limited. It searches on community name(not display name) and it will only show about a dozen of the largest communities as results and nothing more. You essentially need to already know what you're looking for to find a great deal of value from it.

You really have to search for communities externally if you're looking for something that isn't a niche interest. There's a small handful of directory sites that help with this, but I can't for the life of me remember them at the moment if someone can help me out ๐Ÿ˜…

Edit: Mentaledge beat me too it. Lemmyverse.net is the largest of them.

It doesn't cause panic, but I don't back up my photos on my Google drive because I don't want to and I don't need to. So every time it forces me to accidentally turn it on, the sooner I stop it the fewer pictures I need to individually delete from my drive. It's a massive hassle that shouldn't happen.

Can they also stop harassing me to turn it on? The placement of the accept button is idiotic too because it's directly over where the normal nav options are. I accidentally turn it on all the time, need to frantically stop the backup, and then log into the desktop site to delete the photos it grabbed. It's extremely annoying.

You've done nothing wrong, however even if your question is not political certain people will try to make it political. Things will calm down a bit in about a month.

A lot of details regarding day to day Chinese life is not available to the Western world. You may have trouble finding an answer that's based on actual evidence, but people are very similar despite where they live and their motives will be comparable. People here will definitely be able to help you in that regard.

It's very close to a US election and people are being bombarded with highly emotionally charged stories and political information all day and everyone is a bit on edge currently. There's also a pretty large amount of sinophobia on this platform in general too. I don't have an answer to your question, but please try not to take what others might say too personally.

A root canal procedure requires the drilled cavity to be filled and then a surface filling after the abscess is drained. I think their wording is fine.

I've moved across country twice so far and this is pretty spot on. The very beginning and very end of the trip is the only point that's going to be potentially difficult, otherwise you should always be traveling on a major highway if possible.

The only thing I would add is to plan ahead and make sure you know exactly where you're going to stop and rest for the night with that length of drive. You're going to want to plan to get to your final destination in early evening when there is a good buffer of sunlight still around or in the early mid-morning so that you can get as early a start as possible on unpacking. Also make sure you have a lock for the back of the moving truck if you're stopping anywhere overnight and park the truck somewhere you can see it from your hotel window.

They are reading the replies, but from their replies they just don't care about their own question. They're just a debate me chud.

Stop it. Executives don't understand sarcasm and you've doomed us all!

They're pretty loud in general so you would probably know, but they don't tend be like to hang about indoors. Might just be house sparrows if you're hearing them on the warehouse floor.

You should download the Merlin ornithology app. It's built by the Cornell ornithology lab and has picture and sound ID features for birds as well as just a lot of generally useful identification information.

They're perfectly nice birds unless you're a farmer, leave out trash, or conveniently have an open dryer vent for them to loudly nest in like I do.

For those that don't know, they're a common nuisance bird because they nest in enclosed cavities like tree trucks or the siding of your house or any open vents. If you're from the US (At least the Midwest or East Coast, not sure about the western states) and have seen very large flocks of small black birds dancing in the air like schooling fish, behavior called murmations, those are Starlings.
