Yes, I really do love the animations, really shows the transformation so well.

Yes, that's why before Reddit went to shit we all added "reddit" to the search terms. I do miss the old web a lot.
The animations showing the transformation of a page into a blah-SEO clone really sold the article for me. Really reminds me of how shitty the "modern" web is nowadays. I also think it's time I signed up for Kagi.
Basically, ~7cm width is about the limit it seems, because I assume manufacturers realised that's where most human hands are comfortable with holding a phone.
There were a few giant phones in the past, Sony Xperia's Ultra at 6.4 and the Xiaomi's Mi Max at 6.44" to 6.9". If given the 19:9 to 20:9 aspect ratios of today they'd be 7" phones (so again, don't compare phone sizes based solely on screen diagonal). As they're no longer made I assume they just didn't sell well enough.
It is absolutely ridiculous. If it's well-earned, sure, a hefty profit is fine. But profits cannot be ever-growing infinitely, that's just not possible. Our economies are in for a shakeup, that's for sure.
Shareholders too!
Given ActivityPub is newer, I hope they've made it with less of the issues email has! Email as we know it is like, what, 40 years old at this point?
That's a ridiculous take, can't believe it has so many upvotes. The Verge has staff on Mastodon for a while now.
You should look for custom ROMs that incorporate the official camera app. It's been a while since I dabbled with custom ROMs but there's always a few makers that'd do so.
Yea, this is a USA problem. Elsewhere everyone just uses a messaging app of their network's choice.
Damn, some sense around these parts. Always felt the TPM issue was overblown. Unless you wanted Win11 on day 1, and no sensible user should be doing that anyway!
Sounds great; yea, I'm getting sick of the shitty SEOed the hella out results I'm getting from Google search nowadays. If I'm searching for anything that's not pure facts (which likely leads me to a wiki page anyway), it's just going to be a shitshow of bland pages as described in the linked article.
