You want beets to organize your music https://beets.io/

You want to use the musicbrainz database

And you want to scrobble your plays to listenbrainz.

You will serve your music however you want. Navidrome is one of the best, you can't go wrong.

Navidrome does not take car eof tagging. You have to make sure your music is tagged properly. You can also use other software for it that uses beets under the hood. Someone shall chime in and suggest the best app for that as beets isn't end user friendly.

As long as your port is open, it works

I use zerotier and afaik they can't access it, hence, I assume it's the same for tailscale

Why did you choose gitlab and not codeberg/forgejo for open source everything?

First time this happens to me. With a German protonvpn server.

I want to selfhost my own personal website. This is just for fun, as a hobby and to show off my skills to others. nothing big.

I have my own server home but I want to have something that's separate from my personal stuff.

I do not need any support, meaning it can be as cheap as possible. I do not yet know how much RAM or CPU or storage I need. I guess CPU > 2GHz and 2GB RAM should be enough to start.

daily/weekly backup with rsync in case the hoster goes out of business.

I do not need a domain, I will use a dynamic dns hoster.

It's available for mobile as well. You find it in the extension manager

I don't own one but I agree, it ist very good. But it's too expensive for what it is nowadays. A second hand one or maybe the next generation might be worth it again

I understand that it may be problematic sometimes but this was very smooth. I didn't even say anything.

A: what's your number for the whatsapp group Me: I don't have whatsapp because of facebook. B: ok, we have to use signal then A: ok

And that was it. Life can be very easy sometimes

Neither newpipe nor libretube work for me anymore for a while now. Is there an alternative?

Edit: when using my vpn it is blocked. Without von it works fine

I wonder if there is a nptocable difference between a HDD and SSD. Did someone already test it? I run it off a good SSD but wonder if a HDD would be enough.

I'm checking out flowly right now. I'm looking for a kanban board that optimally connects with a todo list and calendar, preferably webdav (but no must). what can you guys recommend?

My server (fedora) stops all podman containers after 2-3 hours since 3 days. I can start all containers again, and the same happens after a while. I do not know where to look for the problem.

In top, I found a oom message. I assume that the system runs out of memory and stops all services. How can I find the problem? I can’t find anything in the container logs.

I can see that systemctl status is always starting. It doesn’t become “running”. But I do not know how to proceed.

I don't think people on this sub use it, but it's great news for us. The worse it gets the likelier people move on.

all the containers change IP addresses frequently. For home assistant a static IP address of the proxy manager is mandatory in order to reach it. For jellyfin it is useful to see which device accesses jellyfin. If the IP always changes, it doesn't work properly.

How do I fix a container IP with podman compose (or docker)
