They pass a lot of the income to producers. Youtube allegedly pays best. They have a ginormous catalogue of videos and allow any user to upload unlimited data.

How is it relevant that youtube does little in house production. The revenue is passed to the creators anyway(by watchtime)

I am pretty sure that yt music doesnt increase the price by 9 Bucks. Lets not push the blame on that.

I would disagree on them calling them defective. This is unnecessarily confrontational.

I would rather say the neglige their existence while using the simplest useful model. They should consider if a better model might be more appropriate.

To discern if an add blocker is in use you are processing information not essential to your service.

You could, eg. Not start the stream until the add is over if it wasn't blocked without violating this. In the end whether or not the user uses an add blocker is not relevant to your ability to stream a video.

How is that relevant? Just because some foreign entity has different laws doesn't mean you cannot have yours. We shouldn't always repeat us policy as gospel. Just look at their social policy nightmare.
