you can download an old APK on Android, or sideload on iOS. I have one with the early 2023 layout and one with the pre-2021 layout just because. none with the new update
This is absolutely amazing, the actual Reddit site is so buggy on mobile. half the time can't even get it to scroll or show more comments. this will circumvent the need for Reddit entirely when looking for specific or niche info. thanks for sharing!
I switched to the 2022 iPhone SE for this last year only for the EU to pull the usb-c thing toward apple (who of course requires the Apple certified cables now anyways so it solved nothing). and after that happened I know the writing is on the wall for this phone one day because of its design. I'm going to be using it until the very bitter end when not a single app is supported anymore. I will be a physical button warrior to the end.
Every single day, maybe a few times a year I don't use it. Though because I have an iphone, my headphone jack is on an adapter. But still, I know for certain it's not something I can ever give up at this point, have tried the Bluetooth thing.
I still run an old app with the original logo and font.
honestly I think the opposite. from what a younger sibling has told me, old is new and the current trends in TikTok and stuff seem to be younger people wanting physical media, non flat design back, the old internet and etc. gives me hope at least.
honestly it's replaced reddit for me in a good way, because it has just enough new content that I can check it before bed every day and scroll for a bit, but not enough to where I spend entire lunch breaks on it. sometimes I go days without even checking it. if anything it's made my relationship with my browser / phone healthier than reddit.
same here, thought my 1 year data top-up was a waste...
oh I see. thank you
Hyperfixation on random topics. The other day I was so invested in the history of mobile phones that I stayed up until 2:30am by accident while researching useless info.
