I dont mean to be rude or anything but if I understand correctly what youre saying is dont teach them anything but how to input questions into a text field, right? Its the same old statement as "Why learn basic math if calculators exist" do you not see the problem there? Sure you get the answer but you wont understand what any of it means which will hinder the knowlege that humanity gained through the thousands of years they been on this earth. Thats a horrible take and I pray you understand why. I do agree that technology is a great tool and should be taught how to be used in school, it shouldn't be the only method of getting answers, thats just dumb and hurts everyone in the future.

Edit: again my opinion agree or diagree

Havent read the article yet but guess teacher's best option is to go back to paper and do all of their work during class period. Not sure how they'll handle homework though or outside projects

Currently in transition. I have about 300ish accounts to change the email handles but i set myself a goal of at least 10 a day, more if I feel like it. Its a journey not a race take your time. In the mean time though you should be backing up anything important off of your account if you havent already like contacts, photos, files and messages. That should help with your nerves, at least it did with me.

Same notifications arent an issue with the app running in the background.

For encryption I stick to veracrypt for local and cryptomator for cloud storage (has a paid mobile application but free on desktop). 7zip also has an option to password protect but not sure how resilient that is.

Thought that was a dead project

Can even get the apk from their website that has a self updater so no aurora store/playstore needed also available on ios. Simplex is another option but not as user friendly for older folk

Damn thats disappointing so much goddamn potential too. What do you think their solution is going to be when support inevitably ends and they still have to fulfill their promise?

We can hope but I wouldn't bet on it. I just hate that we need to be tied to one company thats known to make drastic changes so having another manufactor would be amazing

Woah ~~8~~ (probably 5 ) guaranteed years of security updates ~~they beat google to it~~ They didnt mention any security hardware updates like a secure element so probably no grapheneos support still though. Be a good travel phone though but dont expect security

Edit: Seems that their security updates will be limited
