Man I really hate how they stripped your permissions to access the internal and external storage, files can no longer access data from other apps even if you say allow all file access. Also if your phone supports SD cards, you might notice that you don't have write access to it for some reason on later versions of android. (I really struggled with this with my Galaxy S9 on Lineage), had to use apps that remounted my SD card and what not

By the fact that they require an account to contact them, I'm going to assume they keep your data unless explicitly asked to delete it

OpenAI like other AI companies keep their data sources confidential.

"We trained on absolutely everything, but we won't tell them that because it will get us in a lot of trouble"

Because that name already exists

ClosedAI just doesn't sound as friendly

Yes you can unlock the bootloader (not supported on the Japanese model and there is no US model this time), I'm not sure how well the camera system works on a gsi. On previous models they had to use proprietary blobs to get it to work properly

I have the 1 VI, it's great. No lineage available yet, might take a while

And there are exceptions based on capacity and how long you guarantee the battery capacity will be good for. IIRC, if it still has 70% capacity by 3 years time, it doesn't have to be replaceable at all.

I do not remember reading that, the only exception I remember is for devices that are intended to be used under water, which phones are definitely not

That makes sense, I suppose it could be useful for some

I'm a visual designer, tricks like this are often used to increase legibility.

If multiple people are complaining that its annoying and less readable, then I don't think it's working

Are there any recommendations for a phone with a power-button sensor that still has good specs and cameras?

Since nobody has given you a recommendation; The Sony Xperia 1 VI has that, although not available in the US

I uhh... Switch regularly between light and dark. If we'd make out I can maybe pass it on to alt you, that way he wouldn't have to talk to you directly... If you're up for that...

I just got a new phone (Sony Xperia 1 VI) and I'd like to replace the standard google apps with some open source alternatives. I already tried a bunch in the past, but not all of them feel quite right compared to the google apps. Lineage OS 21 has a few apps I'd like to try, especially the dialer and keyboard app. Do any of you know where I can get download them to install on any android phone?

Thanks!
