This is how I found out that Subaru's adaptive cruise control from their 2020 (iirc) models is vastly superior to the adaptive cruise control on my 2017. It practically drives the car for you now.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder. I haven't listened to this since it first came out ages ago and I'll bet it will be great a second time around.

The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones. Best non-full cast narration I've heard yet and the book is a rare example of one which is truly better as an audio experience because of accents/local dialect which don't translate as well in writing.

I've started buying DVDs and Blu-ray again after years of not doing so because there have been multiple instances of me purchasing a movie on some streaming platform and then it no longer being available. Also, there have been even more instances where it's less expensive to buy the physical product and then rip it than it is to buy the digital copy.

I have to agree with the other commenters. A laptop generally does not last a decade or longer, so you're probably better off just replacing it and are fortunate it has done well for so long. If for some reason you want to work on it, it sounds like this is a motherboard problem, such as the IC. I've never replaced a motherboard or its components on a laptop, but it should theoretically be possible.

It sounds like maybe you shouldn't be driving, but a license is a good thing to have just in case you might need it at some point. Maybe you will want to rent a car for something, maybe you'll need to drive for work. But if you get by without a car now, I wouldn't be stressing too much about getting a driver's license.

I don't know about where you live, but in my experience, the driving test is much easier than the written test. The only "hard" part of the driving test is being sure you know how to parallel park.

I remember when random comics that don't get passed around much weren't considered to be memes.

I must be so old.

lol, change your phone number because of one group abusing it. "Just subject yourself to this massive hassle."
