It handles the same roads and conditions as pretty much all other manufacturers do with their TACC+Lane-Assist solutions. It maintains distance to vehicles ahead, and keeps the car centered in the lane on straight road and gentle curves...nothing more.

The issue is people using this simple ADAS way outside it's constraints, and wanting it to be more than it is, and is advertised as. Autopilot is not a self driving solution, and isn't advertised as it either. It has the same limitations as other ADAS solutions in other cars, but apparently because Tesla calls their solution "Autopilot" people completely disregard warnings and limitations of the system and insist on using it as a self driving solution.

It pretty much already is...it's not a coincidence that people in marketing and sales are considered the least trustworthy.

Many brands do this kind of thing extensively with their limited release models, also in the EU. The only thing that's abnormal here, is that the cyber truck is a mass production vehicle and not limited release. Although I guess because of their very limited production capacity, it is kind of limited release.

That's not what Tesla is doing though, or the article is about...they (Tesla) are arguing that free speech should allow them to do false advertising of their product.

Nope, I live in a suburb

Oh yeah it would definitely be cool to have a car powered by onboard solar panels, but I don't think that's ever going to be viable where I live. I'm getting a whooping 0.3kWh-1.5kWh of production per day at the moment on my 11.4kWp installation.

Autopilot and FSD are not the same thing though. Autopilot is just TACC + lane-keeping, it's not advertised as a full self-driving feature.

I'd love an EV charged only with solar power...but living in a place with 7h of daylight in the winter, and 200 rainy days per year, that'll never happen. During summer it is already possible (and then some) with a regular EV and rooftop solar panels to drive entirely on solar power, I don't charge my car from the grid from May to September.

All sensors throw a shitload of false positives (or negatives) when used in the real world, that's why the filtering and unification between sensors is so important, but also really hard to solve, while still getting a consistent and reliable solution.
