I've completely given up on watching broadcast TV. Recently they made a change in Germany, where you have to pay extra for cable TV. Which I won't do so now I don't have cable any more. I haven't even noticed the difference.

That's an excellent idea. "Fun activity for the kids" is a great way to get the ball rolling. If the ball doesn't get rolling, you'll still have a pleasant afternoon and it won't be awkward.

At this point, games that don't run on Linux don't do so because of anti-consumer and anti-privacy practices by the publishers. Those guys can go fuck themselves.

My company has absolutely no plan for the end of Windows 10. I bet they'll rather throw money at MS than come up with some kind of strategy.

 

The future is going to be great!

 

But of course we all know that the big manufacturers don't do this not because they can't but because they don't want to. Planned obsolescence is still very much the name of the game, despite all the bullshit they spout about sustainability.
