Wifi is local and still connects to your ISP. And in some countries, ALL your ISPs are going to snitch on you when the authorities request your personal data based on your IP.

But it's honestly hard to decipher your comments, including your very first one. You act like you're trying to be helpful, but aren't, you're just condescending and not saying anything actually useful.

I legitimately hate those massive bricks we have nowadays. I dread the day my Pixel 4a breaks because I specifically bought that for its comfortable size. I'd absolutely love to see viable and affordable flip smartphones - especially in the non doubled size compartment (I really don't need to carry a freaking tablet around with me). I'm really dubious about the durability of those screens though. I keep my phones usually for many many years.

Cargo space looks extremely limited.

Eroding / taking away user agency. It's always little bits they chip away but over the time those chips amount to a huge cut off edge of things you cannot do anymore, or only through very convoluted and potentially breaking third party tweaks & tools. Every Windows installation ended up with a growing shit-list of things to do. Disable this, tweak that, download tool X, Y & Z just to further disable & tweak shit, and whoop-de-doo several hours have already passed when you're finally "done". Then, in the middle of doing shit, Windows update! "No! Go away!" 10 minutes later... "Hey, I think you forgot about me?" - "NO, I UPDATE WHEN I SHUT THE DAMN PC DOWN, NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THINGS! GO AWAY!" ... "BUT HAVE YOU HEAR ABOUT OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, THE WINDOWS UPDATE?! OH AND BY THE WAY, WE RE-ENABLED OUR SPYING OPTIONS AGAIN AND WILL SEND ALL THE UNSENT DATA BEFORE YOU CAN DISABLE IT AGAIN!"

At some point I just realized that using Windows became more of a hassle than using Linux. And when you finally do the switch, you suddenly realize how fucking awesome it is that your OS is not constantly nagging you, not constantly spying on you, not constantly fighting you, not constantly changing its configuration to re-enable the things you purposefully disabled. I finally have an operating system again that does what I want it to do, a system that respects my privacy, as well as me as a user.

I doubt a CEO of a bank even understands how LLMs work, or that "AIs" are LLMs.

Too many terrorist simps, too much mod abuse, too much disinformation, too many Tankies, discovery of communities is hard with how federation works and kinda requires third party apps.

HOW ABOUT YOU STOP SHOWING ME ALREADY WATCHED VIDEOS IN GENERAL?! Why fill my home feed with shit I've seen already? I literally have to click (...), click (not interested), click (why?), click (I've already seen the video) FOR EVER SINGLE VIDEO I EVER WATCHED ON YT.

I don't understand why they on such a self destruct path?! I already barely use this fucking platform anymore because of how shitty it has become already, and now they want to bait me into watching some low views garbage on top of all that? WHY?!
