You're funny.

What exactly do you think I misunderstand?

We all agree it's a fantasy TV show, being shown on commercial networks in order to sell advertising.

My take is that as adults people should understand that the show is a fantasy and is meant for light entertainment purposes.

But you were so shocked and offended by the depiction of the police that you caught a case of the vapors.

I understand your criticism of the portrayal of the police. I simply find it ridiculous.

You remind me of the people who got upset when the Green M+M changed her shoes.

[off topic?]

I haven't heard the expression "an elephant never forgets" in quite a while. It's funny how some expressions come and go. "Tight as the bark on a tree" for cheap and "boiled as an owl" for drunk are ones that I know, but haven't used in conversation in years.

I can't remember the author or title, but that was the idea for a story I once read.

God sends an angel and the monkeys to do the job. They get close, but when the angel is doing the final read through he sees "...to be, or not to beee, Damn the 'E' key is sticking. " And they have to start over

Puerto Rico is part of the United States.

Someone born in PR can move anywhere else in the USA without a passport. Any US citizen can travel there as easily as going to another State.

It's just that PR, like Washington DC, is not considered a state, so they can't vote in Federal elections.

It seems like if what you're doing now was working you wouldn't have posted.

Why can't you interact irl?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

You're literally interacting with people right now.

There are people online who need help with all sorts of problems.

If nothing else, you can just listen to what they have to say.

One thing I've learned is that voting is a lot like breathing.

Every time you do it, it's the most important one of your life time.

Now about those space colonies...

The smartest thing any leader could do at this point is educate the next generation.

He could have opened a lot of colleges and invited scholars from all over the world to come and learn for free.

Push the US, Europe and China to invest in asteroid mining and space colonization.
