I've seen people get into week long threads in the comments section of 'GoComics'

I like that idea.
In a similar vein, Supes could be much weaker if he were asleep or distracted. In the current iteration, if Clark Kent gets hit in the head by a ninja the weapon breaks; in the new one, he can be knocked out if he isn't pumped up. Sort of like how Houdini was killed when he told a fan they could hit him as hard as they wanted; he meant after he'd had a moment to prepare.
Christopher Reeve Superman. How come he's fast enough to go back in time, but not fast enough to save Lois in the first place?
Scene needed is Jor-El explaining that Clark is as strong as he believes himself to be. He can literally focus the entire power of the Sun if he's strong enough.
Your use of the word 'obtuse' fascinates me.
Under appreciated movie from the 1980s, "Repo Man."
Harry Dean Stanton tells Emilio Estevez "I hate normal people. Normal people spend their whole damn lives trying to avoid tense situations. Repo man spends his whole life putting himself into tense situations."
EMS ; chronically underpaid and overstressed.
When a cop complains about the terrible things they see on their job, they are talking about the stuff the saw watching EMS work.
Just for my own reference; which part do you read as 'banning the internet'?
Socialization is a slow process. Many people who have good families and rich environments still have problems learning how to have face to face conversations. Look how many people on this site talk about not wanting to have a conversation over the phone or talk to a stranger in a shop.
That's my original comment. Never said anything about banning the internet.
the answer is practice,
There are only so many hours in the day. If a child spends eight hours a day glued to the phone, they aren't going to learn social skills.

Possibly off topic.
I read and used a book called "Discover What You Are Best At" by Linda Gail. It's a series of self administered tests and a list of jobs that use those skills.
It aimed me at a career I found I really enjoyed. It was helpful, but I don't know if you count that as a 'personality test.'
You beat me to it.
