??? The keynote is immediately followed by sessions covering the APIs mostly for the features they just announced. It absolutely is for the developers as much as it is for the press and regular users to learn about what's coming.

The WWDC keynote isn't an investors meeting, it's for Apple to talk about their exciting new features that are coming and to prepare developers for what their sessions are going to be about. The announcement was made with little fanfare because it was like a "FYI, your communication with Android devices will be slightly better for them now"

iCloud is a data backup system, it has nothing to do with the topic at hand

One records your every moment and was instantly exploited to get every piece of data you ever saw and the other does things when you ask it too and asks you before sending data off device. These are clearly exactly the same thing.

Supposedly they're not allowed to use any data obtained from this for training purposes, at least according to the mkbhd video

The fear of being smashed makes them retract into their safety zone

It's marketing bullshit, in announcement they also said they used "heat signatures" from the photo to help determine if the person was trans lol

As the other person sarcastically implied, these sites are intentionally split to make it more difficult to take them all down at once. When one goes down another can pop up, and in the mean time the others are there, on and on forever.

Some companies in my experience do do exit interviews for people who are fired. This makes more sense when you realize exit interviews are mostly to give the company a heads up if they think you might try to sue them.

Exit interviews aren't box checking exercises, they exist to give the company a heads up if the employee seems like they're disgruntled and might try to sue. Always skip them, it only benefits the company that laid you off, nobody else.

I just got into usenet and some of the files downloaded are ISOs. I’m trying to figure out the best way to convert them to mp4s so that I can play them through plex. I’m running on a headless arch server (Manjaro), and I’d prefer to keep the conversion there if possible.

Anyone have experience with this?

Are there any good docker containers that have an openvpn + qbittorrent configuration setup in such a way that the torrents won't run if the vpn isn't running?
