Have you seen IT budgets? Some vice-president of technology is going to be pissed his numbers look bad compared to his peers during their weekly numbers measuring contest.
The whole point is that everything is in an official ledger, that can be argued over in front of a judge.
Best you can do is say you don’t consent for your data to be sold. Find a smaller bank or a credit union where they have to give a shit about their customers.
A few years ago a tech friend literally couldn’t comprehend why he would want to be in a union.
Give up your universal account that accesses everywhere. Multiple accounts is the way.
