I'm rarely on here outside of work. That being said, I did delete it at one point because my mental health took a dip. Seeing upset constantly in the news and memes etc. Takes a toll on me eventually. I do curate my feed a decent amount but some communities have such a mix that I keep them

Probably the most pivotal one I can think of was my introduction into the industry I work in. Just an 18yr old who needed a job, got invited to check out a small CNC job shop by a family friend. Fell in love with the industry and explosively grew my knowledge and skills. I was at that job less than a year but still in the industry many years later.

Not sure what my life would've been like otherwise, I had goals that disappeared when I entered the industry. So maybe I would've reached those, or had more/different friends through schooling. Either way, this is where is am.

Tags on clothing must be printed on, with some exceptions where sewed letters are allowed. None of that free hanging tag BS.

There was a misprint on magic the gathering cards that affected the artwork/coloration the year I was born. WotC recalled all of them and destroyed them all. The remaining ones that were already purchased sell for absurd money

I work for a well known (international) business in the USA that used to be known for it's good benefits. Man are they ass now. 14 days a yr, 21 after 5 years, and could work your way up to 6 weeks at 30yrs. no lunch break, no pension, and some expensive health insurance that covers nothing. Now it used to be 21 starting 28 after 5 yrs, a pension and a lunch break, with some impressive healthcare. And they took away the upper limit of vacation you could get to be 4? IIRC After 30 years. (So 1 extra week after 5 years, then one more after another 25).

The pay is fine but no nearly what it used to be. It used to be $10+ over the competition, now it's barely $1. They are hurting to hire because of it too

It's possible there is someone or a video who can show you though I came up with it myself in leu of spinning it so I don't personally have any sources.

I can give you a written explanation though!

Step one: Hold the Pen as you normally would

Step two: Get the rubber pen grip (or associated area, roughly 1/3 the length from the tip) onto the knuckle at your finger tip or just in front of it (towards the tip of your finger). This should have your finger in a C position which should put you pretty close to a flick position.

Step 3: Put your thumb in front of the tip of your finger and apply counter pressure between your fingers (ready to flick)

Step 4: Release your restrained middle finger causing your finger to flick and sending the pen up in a flipping motion.

Notable: If the pen flys forward try adjusting how forward or backwards the pen sits on your knuckle (I.E. 1/3, 1/4 etc.). Same if the flip is too speedy or slow.

Adjusting your wrist or moving your hand up to start with some momentum can be useful when learning.

Consistency is hard but you'll get the feel in time

I could never spin a pen around my thumb so instead I learned how to "flick" it, have it do a flip and land back in my hand.

I can also rapidly place two strips of tape on one another with no bubbles and parallel enough you'd think it's one piece. However I can only do this vertically

The fact that there is something in there with credibility makes it further a mystery to me.

The voynich manuscript. It's so wild and interesting, a complete mystery too

A personal mystery for me is why I changed? As a young kid/toddler the depictions of me and stories are just absurdly wildly different of a personality. Very similar to the personality my sibling has. At some point around the age of 5 or 6 I just did a 180°. I was a fearless, extroverted, charismatic toddler and suddenly became an introverted, quiet, bookreading shut in.

I wasn't sad or depressed or anything and I still did do stuff and had fun, but it was not in line with before

Yes, those dreams hurt reality so badly. The sense of loss when you wake is pretty aggressive if you already lack a good connection with someone.

Had a dream like that years ago, I still remember it quite well

Done as needed, or as mood strikes. Generally everything stays clean, if not, the pressure and annoyance builts until it gets completed. Repeat.

Routines like that do not exist in my household
