If your default UI is shit, people aren't going to stick around long enough to figure out how to tweak it.
In the US it is more breaking the DRM is applicable to the software/hardware used to break DRM. Against US citizens that break DRM for their own personal use hasn't been tested and most legal experts seem to argue it is fair use as long as you don't share.
Hasn't been tested in this context. But if you're sharing it, that puts you in another set of legal cross hairs.
Plex got in bed with the devil when they started moving to hosting content with their free stuff. Now content creators have leverage over them.
I don't mind paying for things when the value proposition is there. Just in entertainment, the prices get skewed way outside value.
Find the tracker group you want, then seed and suck up to them. It's a shallow system.
People still sleep on Excel. Nothing else touches it, and your finance department would riot if IT tried any of its "replacements."
DIY Netflix is the one I like.
This is why we need more competition in the ISP space. And use a VPN.
