Opera has been in the web browser playing field for a long time at this point, but haven't been super relevant until the last couple years due to GX

That's good to know on both dishes. I didn't know mushy peas were made with a different kind, and from what other commenters said the snails might actually not be that bad. Certainly no less strange than eating ~~ocean bugs~~ lobster or crab if you really think about it.

If I'm ever in an opportunity to try either I'd definitely give them a go at least once. My initial comment was, while uneducated, mostly a light riff on the local cuisines. I feel like I maybe should have deleted it when I saw it was to a UK-specific sub, but I guess it turned into a learning experience so it's not all bad in hindsight!

I don't doubt it, but you'd need to do something incredible to mashed peas to make me prefer them that way over non-mashed (and not overcooked) peas seasoned with salt and pepper

Never tried the snails, maybe one day but I've never had the opportunity

It's like the kid in that meme where both paths are dark. On one side is mashed peas and on the other is literal cooked snails.

Edit: accuracy, I don't think you'd mix the mashed peas with beans at least

Do we really though? Don't get me wrong it's some of the most entertaining content I've seen on the Internet but I think it brings more harm than good on the whole, especially with the fervor around GME that spun off into being downright delusional. I'd prefer if we don't end up bringing that over here tbh.

I think the 'old' wsb even would be sort of borderline with the egging on and memefication of gambling one's life savings on weeklies

That makes sense. I always just used my email from the browser unless there's something specific I need from an email client or the setup is employer-provided/mandated, but I guess a lot of people just go with whatever is put in front of their face first.

But if anyone tries to open a new thread on the issue it gets marked as a duplicate and removed

I mean, if it's an Outlook email and not from another provider using Outlook as a frontend, it's part of Microsoft's ecosystem anyways. Unless your whole inbox is encrypted (and it's probably not if it's not being advertised as such lol), it's on Microsoft's servers and they have control over it anyways.

That said, definitely change the password if you just used Outlook as your email client at some point!

I don't understand this take. You can enjoy a product but still understand that it brings more harm than good to society as a whole. I'm guessing tobacco is something you "need to function" because of the very fact that you regularly used it in the first place, probably at least partially due to the industry's predatory practices.

Don't get me wrong, withdrawal is an absolute nightmare I am blessed to never have experienced firsthand, but cases of lifelong dependence are why those companies should burn in the first place. If there were a way to get you and others like you what you need while wiping the rest of the industry off the face of this planet, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

If you genuinely enjoy smoking and believe tobacco has enriched your life, more power to you. Perhaps someone selling tobacco to people in your situation doesn't bring harm, but selling that same product to someone who's never smoked before and might potentially become hooked for life? Yeah, straight to hell. Fuck them.

Something I don't think anyone is talking about is that, if this is now considered a ToS violation, Google will probably decide at some point to start banning accounts over it. Oh, you use adblock? Now your email, Drive documents, and photos are gone.

Uh I think you might be off by a few orders of magnitude, I'm pretty sure that, of the roughly 360 million people in the US, 300+ of them do not live in either AL or MS

fwiw I'm a new player who started in Sanctum league with some friends who are veterans, and I'm enjoying the current league a lot (the mechanic is arguably mid but some of the items are fire). I did come to the "slot machine" realization at one point tho, and the rationalization I landed on was "well at least they just want my time, and not all of my money too". Which, like, I'm really impressed by the restraint they've held with monetization of the game, the only real "gameplay advantage" mtx come from the stash tabs, and by the time a new player would need them, they've probably put enough time into the game to justify some 1 time purchases.

I was hella struggling last league because my group got me set up on Lightning arrow, but this go around on an RF inquis (I know, I know) I've completed all the atlas bonuses and unlocked all but one of the favored map slots. Currently trying to get melding set up but I'm probably not going to have the free time for that going forwards for irl reasons. Unfortunate, but probably for the best honestly. It was kind of becoming a free time black hole lol
