I'm pretty fond of these little Velcro straps I got from Amazon that are like 10cm x 30cm, you use them to push all your computer cables into them so you can neaten them up. I've got several of them strapped back to back and it's a pretty decent solution (and being Velcro you can just pull it apart later on)

Always good to see more people looking into platforms besides Twitter, plenty of great places out there

Make sure to never include your face when sending nude pics. Plenty of anonymous dick pics out there.

One thing I'm really surprised about is that the overall screen strength doesn't seem to have improved over the last 5 years. Screens are still much better than what they were over a decade ago (where a drop without a case was pretty much a screen crack)

But I'm finding on my Pixel 7 pro for example that I'm still finding light scratches, it feels like these screens only have a 5 or 6 on the mohz scale where you'd usually expect a 7 or beyond.

The vast majority of comments in here seem to be focused on the attitude of "why you trying to start shit"

But legitimately from an outside presiding perspective, which instances have people found to be decent, there seems to be a heap of Lemmy instances, each with their own rules and vibes, so what's the go?

After a decade of Samsung and other third party phones, I'm super keen on the Pixel 7 pro. Even with Samsung boosting huge MP counts for their phones, they always come across either blurry or low quality to me (especially selfies where it feels like they've cheaped out)

In comparison the software processing on the Pixel is amazing, things seems to always be in focus and correctly lit.

Need the opposite costume, the overly eager sys admin.

  • wants to force password changes once a month for security
  • constantly changing security policies to reflect the flavor of the month
  • constantly sends out phishing emails tests, wonders why no one replies to any of his emails

It's pretty creepy to want to use people's likeness forever, so it can be used for any purpose in the future. It's perfectly fair for these actors to be pissed.

Companies will never do the right thing without being forced to do it, it's just not in their nature. So having strikes and forcing their hand along with regulation is the only real solution
