There was a post on this yesterday.

They are moderating something, the issue with the article was it's not user's bookmarks. It's some app-specific feature called collections.

edit: it's the same post...it's a bit weird linking a direct link to a lemee.ee post when they get federated here anyway.....

Technically you were supposed to be looking up the research for anything that mattered to begin with. I don't usually trust wikipedia for anything that i'm going to have to talk about later. The sources are for that.

That is not a fault to Wikipedia. That is on you.

Pretty sure this was already known. Just even back when Skype was relevant it wasn't fixed.

I mean, just mark as spam?

It hurts them more if a bunch of people mark them as spam and it becomes a trend doesn't it? Just seems like a design issue on their part.

I always figured that companies generally wanted to avoid that.

To be fair, pretty sure the original point of the meme was a pompous asshole making a point

Like he by no means looks like a guy you want to agree with in that pic.

How is this not hitting anti-competition laws? What exactly is their justified reason for trying to block these other than money?

Forums aren't gone. They just were never really big to begin with. Reddit eclipsed all of them to the point that most forums were irrelevant unless they were highly specific (not like, a gaming or show community) or couldn't be on reddit (straight piracy with linking, other stuff we won't talk about)

They're not even gone, just the communities that want them are fewer and far between.

Are they calling Streaming Sites Streamers? I'm confused.
