I get some dodgy casino and gambling ads ... Before a children's program. Reported the ad multiple times, but it keeps coming back under a different name.

The "allow device to wake up computer" is already set to "off" in mouse, keyboard and other USB devices, together with any bios settings related to wake up. Yet still, at least once a week my computer is on in the morning, after i set it to Hibernate the night before. Sometimes it even power cycles straight away after i tried to turn it of. Same today, when i was was out of the house for a few hours, and it decided to magically turn itself on, run windows update and restart. I have to power it down and turn of the the power on the power-strip each night. My work laptop has the same issue, except it does not care about the power strip switch and discharges the battery overnight instead!

Can someone explain how this website lost millions? Given that this size was not that big, I fail to see how it could cost this much in admin and Server cost. Even some better known commercial shops will hardly hit 5digits in monthly server costs, plus salaries for 1-3 admins and support staff, and maybe advertising costs.

37million sounds like something they pulled out of thin air, maybe for some bookkeeping fraud or tax write off...

Because at this time the internet was still slow, not always on and optional on most computers, and Microsoft did not know if and how they should integrate the internet into the OS. The only thing they had at the time was some link to MSN on the desktop, and activeX (???) Where you could display websites on your desktop or within your program, but without the Browser controlls.

Can I mount a towing hook for my camper?

It's a segmented display. Color display on consumer computers was to expensive at the time. because of the limited memory you could either have high resolution or few colors and low resolution, and high resolution was required if you need text.

My guess is that all displays have fixed segments and warning lights that can only be turned on or of.

It's just impractical and expensive to store more than a Textstring in a Blockchain, because everytime the Blockchain is updated with new data, you have to send a copy to all the other databases that share this Blockchain. This will get very resource heavy I'd you get 100000 10MB files each day and must keep them in sync with 200 other databases, who also received a similar amount of data from different users.

The could make everything above 1080 quality subscription only, or charge uploaders for the storage. This would probably also cut down on the low quality spam Channels that only exists for ad revenue...
