I used to know a man who was huge fan of Queen but also massively homophobic. When I called him out on it, “Um, Freddie was very gay”, he quickly replied, “Oh, that’s different”. 🤔

I also quite enjoyed the single series of High Fidelity that was made. Slightly less light-hearted.

I get up when I want, except on Wednesdays when I get rudely awakened by the dustmen. I put my trousers on, have a cup of tea and I think about leaving me house. I feed the pigeons, I sometimes feed the sparrows too, it gives me a sense of enormous wellbeing. And then I'm happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to it.

Non-alcoholic beer has come along in leaps and bounds and there are many very drinkable beverages available now.

For the past 2 years, I've bought a non-alc beer Advent Calendar, which is basically a case of beer with perforated "doors" that you get a can from for the first 24 days of December and then about 4 cans for 25 December itself. Only one or two that I didn't like enough to not drink them and several I thought were amazing.

As I live in Australia, the majority are from here. There were some from the US and Europe, though. Some that spring to mind are : Athletic, Løwlander, Vandestreek, Sheep in Wolf's Clothing, Bravus, Big Drop.
