Yeah same, I remember initially feeling the Outlook integration was extremely clunky, for example, but there's a big simplicity to being able to grab a recurring meeting link and then just attach it to any meeting regardless of whether it's rescheduled or has an unusual pattern.

Teams is much more annoying in this regard since it pretty much requires calendar integration for the meeting to work. Trying to set up any new meeting regenerates the meeting link, and it's maddening. Like just let these two things not be connected if I want.

D+ dropped support for my tablet since the Android version is too old, but I just ran Firefox in desktop mode and that worked. I don't know whether it made a difference that it's a tablet vs phone though

EU Withdrawal Act effectively retained all applicable EU law as UK law so anything would have to be specifically rescinded after that.

I don't think anything's changed wrt gdpr

In Windows 95, wordpad was still write.exe, is it possible they just renamed it?

100% this, I've been a few times to pubs etc. where they tell you the kitchen closing time separately from the pub closing time but then when you try to order food before that they say they already took last orders because the kitchen staff finish at that time.

Like bro, politely I do not care what time your staff finish their shift, it doesn't affect me. As a customer, I care what time service ends - that's the time that should be included on the opening hours to the public.

Hasn't been called ".NET Core" since 3.1

Although it's essentially the subsequent version of core, .NET 5 is the successor to both .NET Core 3.1 and .NET Framework 4.

Since then, it's just been called .NET 5/6/7/8/...

My mum is like this but I think this kind of thing depends on where you're at in your financial journey and also the type of person you are.

I find that cash burns a hole in my pocket and I check my apps regularly to track spending so any cash effectively just "disappears", I won't even remember what I spent it on.

I completely prefer digital spending because for me it's easier not to lose track and if I seem short, I can trace exactly where it went.

If you're someone who is not in financial trouble and pays off credit cards regularly then I advise trying to find one with decent rewards and use it for as much of your spending as possible.

This not only gets you air miles / cash back but also helps to build a strong credit record if you're looking to buy a house, car, ... in the future.

One of the big things they taught us in history lessons was how he came across very charismatic and that he was good at winning people over.

It's really important for people to understand and learn in order to not repeat the mistakes of populism, evil people don't generally go around shouting about how evil they are.
