The UK’s national library is still suffering what it describes as a “major technology outage” due to a “cyber incident” it experienced over the weekend.

Making no backups as a public organization comes pretty close.

Well, I and my AD&D group tried:

About once a year, we would play an "evil group". We were trying to capture a silver dragon to enslave it (a good creature). To attract it, we locked the men and women of the town in the church and set it on fire. Still not evil enough to get it's attention. So . . . we started throwing the children/babies in the fire too.

That did it!

Toronto Public Library has been out of commission since Saturday too. Most unfortunate - it is a very popular service.
