I used EyeBuyDirect.

But their no-name brand frames suck ass and fall apart quickly, you're gonna need to pay more for the quality frames so they don't fall apart in like 3 months.

I don't think online glasses stores are gonna save you much money, its more like a convienience thing, so that you don't have to wait in a physical store. You're still sacrificing quality and durability with price. Those cheap frames will fall apart much sooner than the expensive ones.

But, I use them because they have some frames that is ready to ship within 2 days, great for when my glasses break and I needed one like... ASAP.

Stores take like 1 to 2 weeks, I hate that, takes forever.

I don't think there's a "best" way, its just what's convienient to you.

Zenni Optical and EyeBuyDirect are the most common ones I read about on the internet, and the top 2 search results, but since Zenni didn't have 2 day shipping option, EyeBuyDirect is what I chose to go with.

EyeBuyDirect has like a one time free replacement for defects. You take photos of the broken glasses, send it to them, and pay shipping, and they send you new ones, they didn't even want back the broken ones (I mean, its not must use to them anyways). (But don't choose the same frames if you are gonna get a replacement)

When asking about buying stuff, please include what country you currently live in.

Zenni. I've got dozens of glasses from them. Every year if I've got money leftover in my health flex spending account I buy glasses. Fashion tint, sunglasses, just for fun, etc. It's never a waste.

My answer is Zenni, but I don't know what the tariffs will do.

I'm from Japan!

Online glasses shopping is pretty common here too, and I’ve personally used Zoff (https://www.zoff.co.jp/) — they’re affordable, have lots of frame styles, and let you enter your prescription online. They also have a virtual try-on feature on their website, so you can see how the glasses look on your face before buying. Shipping within Japan is fast and reliable.

Another unique option in Japan is Shitsuji Megane eyemirror (https://ec.eyemirror.jp/ ), which translates to “Butler Glasses.” They’re known for collaborating with anime and VTuber franchises, so it’s especially popular among fans of Japanese pop culture. Some of their designs are themed around specific characters or series — very Japan!

I like Warby Parker. They're pricey compared to the other websites mentioned here, but I love the styles. You can order a home try-on kit for free before making a purchase.

The try-on kit was very helpful!

I’ll second Zenni, been ordering from them for 10+ years.

eyebuydirect.com has always treated me well.

I used to love eyebuydirect, especially the replacement warranty. But their quality is lower and needs the warranty while Zenni is less expensive for higher quality 😁

Good to know. Next time I’ll check out ZENNI.

What's your location? I usually buy from ExtraOptical, happy with them.

Prices are ridiculous though. I mean I got my last set from there because they had an offer to get prescription sun glasses too, but in the past I’ve just searched cheap glasses online and had some for 10% the cost at the high street.

Quality isn’t as great as say designer frames which I have now, but also I seem to keep wearing my cheap ones as they’re more comfortable for my head.

Zeelool has some more left field choices if you're into that. Otherwise I second eyebuydirect
