Couldn't drop price to 3200 USD?

2023? These came out in the mid 70’s.

That would be around $18k in todays dollars.

I'd kill for that keyboard though!

That specific keyboard may take some doing, but I suspect that you could get Cherry key caps in those colors, if it's the color aesthetic you like.

I just can feel the clickyness of it, but maybe hammering away at it daily wouldn't be so nice...

Good idea about the keycaps though! My keyboard has cherry browns so maybe I can make a look-alike ... Hmm...

Lovely industrial design on that potato.

My TRS-80 Model 3 had a similar 80 characters x 16 lines display but monochrome in 1980, with 4kb of ram and cost $1000 USD. So this might be from just a few years later. I bet the screen shown in this ad was enhanced.

The TRS-80 COCO came out in 1980 and had 16 colors I believe. Mine had 16K, a tape drive, and no monitor (hooked mine up to my grandparents B&W TV).

Thanks, I figured someone would remember better than me. I forgot all about the CoCo.

Yea, I'm calling BS.

Though I'll say maybe... But I'm real sceptical.

Wow, did a quick search, they did have color at the time, wonder what tech they were using.

The Xerox Alto was 1973 and had a color GUI interface more than a decade before Apple or Microsoft had for their OSs.

Also it cost $32,000 in 1973 and was both computer, monitor, and desk all in one.
