I want to auto start Termux and KDE Connect whenever I reboot. I basically need to launch android applications Termux and KDE connect while my Samsung phone starts and it can't do it by itself, so, I want a app like MacroDroid which is opensource.

There's an app "Automation" on F-Droid. Looks retro af but should be able to do this.

edit 3: https://sh.itjust.works/post/4724765 :(

edit 2: It doesn't require root, I don't know why I didn't use this application. The application I was talking about was different.

edit: I think it required root. I can't root :(

actually, I tried it out, but I don't know how to make it do this. Not very user friendly

I tried and the app doesn't seem to work on my phone, but in theory:

Rule > add rule > add trigger > device starts > yes

Add action > start another program > scroll down > select app (pick app) + select activity + choose manually > probably pick "main" activity

Save rule (this where I get an error and idk why)

Back to overview > start service

Someone lmk if this works, the app complains about writable memory and won't save rules for me.

how would one auto-start keyboard on reboot using Key Mapper? edit (2 days later): Key Mapper is really good btw, thank you for suggesting me this

Key mapper is great for remapping keys, but it is not a replacement for an automation app.
