I use FindMyDevice from Fdroid. I have a few contacts who can ping me with an sms text and it responds with my coordinates and a link to OSM.

Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

The F-Droid version (which is available on IzzyOnDroid's repo) utilizes OSM. You'll need a server to sync the data to though and it likely does not have all of the features that Life360 has.
That looks interesting. I was kind of expecting that it might be challenging to find exactly what I am looking for.
They don't use the app you're asking for either.
Maybe look into Home assistant or nextcloud
