Zero chill factor. Every post has to have a dissertation under it explaining how its problematic. Reddit/Twitter reposts that make you nod your head in agreement get mindlessly upvoted. Even communities that should be more off-color get relegated to the most normie shit possible. Lemmy feels homogenous as fuck. /rant

If you don't like the leftist federated reddit alternative designed by a communist you can leave it? Or join one of the plenty significantly more liberal instances

I'm mean you're on Lemmy.ml ffs. It's no hexbear or lemmygrad but it tends towards being significantly more left than other mainstream instances

I kinda understand your frustration but you're overblowing it quite a lot. I like offensive jokes but a fair bit of lemmy users don't,so they get downvoted. Lemmy users are in majority leftist and while Right wingers tend to think outright racist jokes are funny, leftists tend to think the slightest offensive joke to be prejudicial. Make a community of offensive jokes and let people decide weither they want to see them on their feed or not. Of course, Offensive jokes doesn't mean jokes that attack a minority.

I only saw the ass joke and it gave me a chuckle so that's a good one.
