I recently got clued into the fact that you can enable side-loading on Roku devices. However, I have no idea where to get the apps for it. Since Rokus don't run Android, I can't install APKs like I did on my Nvidia Shield TV. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

As a Roku dev who frequently looks at Brightscript projects on github... How have I not found this before this post?! The only reason I have premium is because I couldn't find a decent workaround on Roku.

I love this paragraph:

There's a cliché about how a lot of open source software is "Made with ♡". This project in particular is not. Playlet was created out of spite, because I believe I have watched enough back-to-back, unskippable Youtube ads for a lifetime.

It loads with "deleting system32". My heart skipped for a sec, before I remembered that I only own one windows computer and the Roku isn't it haha

Looks awesome!

Which kind of Roku device are you using? Stick, box, or tv? Reason I ask is that there may be some workarounds for some devices over others, e.g. casting from phone or screen-sharing from PC.

Roku Ultra 4800R.

Ditch the Roku and get another Shield or other Android TV device.
