So as a summary of the procedure from what I saw...you go in the tube, they spin a big ass magnet around you, the molecular resonance is captured into an image... somehow they figure out some areas or volumes are more active than others, then they sonicate those volumes. As they sonicate your memories away, they show you images of drugs to see if you still want to use them. If you say no, they they keep Sonicating just in case. And that's it. Oh, no they guy probably doesn't make it past 60.

It looks like a more scientific lobotomy. Imagine going to war, you capture a bad guy, then you stick him in the tube and erase his pledge of alliance to his country. Finally you just ask where the nukes are or anything else you may want to know. Best of all you can just send him to boot camp and use him as a soldier against his original country.

But you could also go to all the jails and do lobotomies on the prisoners....you will never drive 35mph on a 30mph zone! Or you could make pedophiles be people again.

You could make expresidents or ex FBI CIA members forget anything they learned while in office or employed there. That would maximize security for everyone.

It could help rape victims heal after justice was served and it could help the rapist become functional again. Maybe it would work for alcoholics? Gang members? Etc.

Seems like an interesting sort of application.

Hey, AI and drones were supposed to stay cute and help humanity...right now we can barely keep up with either. AI being used to steal money over the phone. Drones being used in war to for extermination. So yeah, here we are....are you an assassin and want to forget everything about it? Sure get on the bed! You don't like yogurt or beans? Yea let's try one more time!
