The first quoted person in the article says they said they spoke up at a company meeting in front of him to say he should be fired.
But not the media?
A story like this would have exploded had they gone to media outlets, I find it hard to believe someone would call him out in person but not be willing to turn media when that failed.
It really does feel like "oh no I was saying stuff back then, promise" to only speak up now
Have you read Bobby's Wikipedia page? The media knows he's a big piece of shit who literally told the board his intent was to make the devs hate making games.
Its not some secret.
I mean, sure, but that guy did more than almost anyone would be prepared to do (or did). So I give them respect for that, and don't also demand they should have taken another step that I would have liked them to.
