An occasional source of mild Thanksgiving tension in my family is that my mother is a die-hard fan of The Core (2003), and various family members sometimes have differing levels of enthusiasm for her annual tradition of watching it.

Rise Of Skywalker is not a good movie over all but it does have one of the truly great stupid space opera moments, in a cavalry charge across the outer hull of a space ship - it's up there with that bit in Thor Ragnarok where he jumps out of one spaceship onto another in order to punch it!
